I’m gonna level with you guys. Until a few weeks ago I had never listened to an audiobook. Now I’ve listened to a few fully and three partially (I did give up on one because I didn’t like it tho). The first one that I listened to in full was The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix – which I absolutely loved by the way. And the narrator is amazing!! She really made the book for me. If you haven’t had a chance to check this book out I highly recommend it. And if you like audiobooks, I highly recommend that too!

The two books that I’m currently listening to are My Best Friend’s Exorcism also by Grady Hendrix and They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. Now My Best Friend’s Exorcism has a great narrator and I’m really enjoying that book. On the other hand, They Both Die at the End isn’t really doing it for me. I don’t think I’m going to finish that one honestly. It just didn’t hold my attention and I’m not going to waste my time on something that I’m not really enjoying (spoiler alert: I didn’t finish it).

However, I have been enjoying a trilogy on audiobook very much. The Binti trilogy by Nnedi Okorafor has been one of my favorites these last few weeks. The narrator for the trilogy is Robin Miles and boy is she amazing! I love her voice and her inflection. She just totally makes these books. I read the first book in this series and listened to the other books as audiobooks and I prefer the audiobooks much more. If you are a sci-fi fan then I would highly recommend you check this one out! It is SO good and I say that as someone that doesn’t really like to much sci-fi.

The most recent audiobook that I listened too was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I know, I know, I’m late to the game on this one. Almost everyone I know has read this book. I’m not sure why it took me so long to read it but I’m glad I did! I really liked listening to this one as an audiobook. There were a lot of names and places that I would have never been able to pronounce. I’m going to try to continue this series in audiobook form. I enjoyed the narrator quite a bit so I’m looking forward to listening more!

The next book is the one that I’m currently listening to! Circe by Madeline Miller is about Circe, who is banished to a deserted island by Zeus. While on this island she hones her witchcraft, tames wild animals, and has run ins with some of the most famous names in Greek mythology – Odysseus, Daedalus and Icarus, Medea, and the Minotaur. I’m been meaning to read this book for awhile now so I’m excited to listen to it! I will update you guys once I finish the book if I liked it or not.

Do you guys like audiobooks? Do you have a favorite narrator? I’m always looking for suggestions so leave some down in the comments for me! I can’t wait to hear from you guys!
