Diverse Donations

Today I thought I would delight you all with some donations that we have received at the library since I’ve started working there. Some of them are strange and some of them are just really, really outdated (you’ll see). I hope you like this weird little post and if you do I can compile more pictures and do another round in a few weeks!

Needless to say, none of these donations were made into library books by us, they were just a TAD BIT out of date. My favorite out of these was by far the tiny dictionary. I really wanted to take it home but I had no use for it so I resisted the urge to take the tiny cute book home with me. Most of these books end up in our free paperback section where anyone can take them home (most of them are still over there!). We do love getting donations and we never turn any away. If we are overflowing with free paperbacks we will stick them in our staff office and save them for a later date when we can use them! The only time that books ever get recycled is if they are moldy, damaged beyond repair, or covered in a gross substance that is not mold (I will spare you the details). Please let me know what you all think of these books! Leave a comment below or hit me up on Twitter!
